Many bosses have the attitude that anyone is easily replaced; so they continue to treat employees poorly.
A good employee has knowledge of the system, product and processes; they have built relationships with customers and co-workers that take years to build.
It is a big mistake when you push or do nothing to retain loyal employees to the point where they no longer care; when you lose a good employee, you lose part of your culture and it is a big cost to the organization.
Employees need development and training, it's the best salary they can receive for their future. And if you are one of those who think that: - what's the point of training them, if they leave -, you should know that there is something worse than that: - that you don't train them and they stay in your company.
Never forget that the limit of any organization is your staff and the limit of the staff is its leaders.
