To be successful within a company, it is necessary to have a good team in whom to trust and where to ensure optimal work, so workers must have skills for a collaborative and optimal work. And you may ask yourself, how do I achieve this? Here are the 5C's of teamwork:
What are the 5C of Teamwork?
This is a system that helps to reinforce teamwork. This model has been proposed by Tom Peters, who studied the bases of good teamwork, concluding that these were: Communication, Coordination, Complementarity, Trust and Commitment, which he noticed that they had as similarity the letter "C".
1. Communication
This is a key piece within a team, since it is implicit in the company's communication system, when this fails, an entire internal system fails.
For good communication to exist, it is necessary that the team has the different tools and well-defined communication channels, so that each member has a clear idea of who to turn to in each case, these must be known by each of the workers of the company.
Likewise, for the team to be able to carry out different tasks correctly, efficiently and with a good working environment, it is necessary that the workers have updated, concrete and punctual information, for a correct performance of their functions.
In addition to communication between colleagues, leaders also have an important role to play here, as they must be clear with their team. They must keep them informed of any changes that may be made within the company, in order to avoid any type of impact.
2. Coordination:
In this "C" it is guaranteed that all members perform their activities optimally, this with the help of a leader, who coordinates and directs the fulfillment of activities, thus avoiding communication problems among members.
3. Complementarity
In this part is directed to the skills and knowledge of each of the members to respond to a specific need.
It is necessary that the team complements itself, since with experiences and formation each member can collaborate to make the team reach its objective more effiencty. This is the main reason why it is necessary to know the knowledge and skills of each member
4. Confidence:
This is the basis of the well-being of the team, it is built day by day and is a fundamental pillar for a team to function optimally, it is necessary that there is a transparent communication, so that there is a good atmosphere.
It is necessary to emphasize that this emotion is something that unites the members, and without it the team is very likely to fail.
5. Commitment:
Finally we find in commitment, this is necessary in order to achieve the stated objective, this is a consequence of the other 4 previous points, since if it is done correctly and efficiently , the commitment of each of the members will be growing.
